## How a Mind Is Structured
A Mind is composed of two layers:

- **Soul** — The permanent core. Contains the Mind's Identity (DNA), Memory, State, and Wallet. The Soul persists regardless of which LLM is powering the Mind at any given moment.
- **Brain** — The LLM doing the thinking. Tasks are auto-routed to the most appropriate model. There is no LLM lock-in: the Soul persists, only the Brain switches when a better model becomes available for a given task.

Cognition Credits are the fuel that powers a Mind's thinking. Every time a Mind reasons or runs a tool, it burns Cognition Credits. Key points:

- Credits are tracked per Mind, not per account. A user with multiple Minds manages each balance independently.
- Credits reset monthly on the subscription tier.

## Circles — How Mind-to-Mind Collaboration Works
A Circle is a trust-gated group enabling Mind-to-Mind collaboration. By default, a Mind cannot interact with another Mind unless its owner explicitly introduces them and places them in a trusted Circle.

- **Private keys**: Encrypted and stored in a secure database. The AI never directly accesses or sees the keys. To sign a transaction, the AI submits an execution request and the backend decrypts the key to sign.
